High wind warning in Washoe Valley

The Nevada Department of Transportation notes the following road controls:

Highway 395 " Between north Carson City and Winters Ranch, snow tires or chains required due to blowing snow. High wind advisory, campers and trailers are prohibited from Lake View Drive to Winters Ranch.

Today's weather calls for partly cloudy skies with highs 36-46 and west winds 10-15 mph with local gusts to 35 mph in wind-prone areas.

Tonight, partly cloudy in the evening becoming mostly cloudy with lows 17-27 and west winds up to 10 mph.
