Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• Sergio Guerro, 47, a transient, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony shoplifting. He allegedly stole a rack of ribs and a roasted chicken, and only paid for a can of beer. Bail was set at $2,500.


• Dakota Nicole Rich, 23, of Carson City, was arrested Wednesday at 3:56 p.m. at Costco on suspicion of felony grand larceny, felony burglary and gross misdemeanor destruction of property. Bail was set at $30,132.


• Ember Columbell, 27, unemployed of Carson City, was also arrested at 3:56 p.m. at Costco on suspicion of felony grand larceny, felony burglary and felony destruction of property. Columbell and Rich allegedly were attempting to steal game consoles from Costco. The report states Columbell was holding her 1-year-old son at the time of her arrest and the boy was turned over to family. Her bail was also set at $30,132.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:


• Vehicle injury report on Jewell Avenue at 7:26 a.m.


• Accident reports on Nevada Street, Hot Springs Road and Saliman Road.


• Residential burglary report on Imperial Way at 6:54 p.m.


• Larceny reports on Highway 50 East, Market Street and South Carson Street.


• Domestic battery reports on Carmine Street, Pheasant Drive, Wagon Wheel and North Carson Street.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:


• Report of a Fernley elementary student threatening to "blow a staff member's head off" at 11:15 a.m.


• A mother reported her children returned home to find the back door broken in and items missing from her Dayton home at 2:08 p.m.


• Report of a van on fire at the pump on Nevada Street in Silver Springs at 5:13 p.m.
