Wind advisory for Washoe Valley; Monday's weather outlook for Carson City

Today's weather will be partly cloudy in the morning then clearing with highs 42-52 and north winds up to 10 mph.

Tonight, clear and cool with lows 19-29 and north winds up to 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Areas of utility work continue on Carson City streets, most notably on Fairview Drive from Silver Sage to South Edmonds, and on Highway 50 East from Saliman Road to Airport Road.

Expect delays on Highway 50 in both travel directions. Drive carefully through these areas.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:25 a.m. reports the following road controls:

Highway 50 " Snow tires or chains required for 18.2 miles between 0.7 miles east of California state line and 3.3 miles west of Highway 395 at south Carson City.

Highway 395 " High wind advisory for Washoe Valley; campers and trailers not advised between Eastlake Boulevard and Winters Ranch.
