Locals BBQ hosts Wine Education and Tasting


Locals BBQ will host a Wine Education/Wine Tasting 6-8 p.m. Monday. More than 20 wines valued at close to $1000 will be sampled.

Adult class on acting at children's museum


Wild Horse Productions presents a six-week introductory class on the Meiser method of acting 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday-March 6, Children's Museum of Northern Nevada.


The class is for adult students 17 and up. The cost of the workshop is $100 and space is limited.

Senior Health Fair at Carson Valley Inn


The Douglas County Senior Center will host the annual Senior Health Fair 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Carson Valley Inn, Shannon Ballroom, 1627 Hwy 395.


Services will include medical, insurance, residential care, financial and investments, nutrition, medication, hearing, vision and more.

Young at Heart Seniors bus trip scheduled


The Young at Heart Senior Citizens Club is sponsoring a bus trip to John Ascuaga's Nugget on Feb. 20.


The bus leaves Smith's parking lot in Gardnerville at 8 a.m. and will return at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $25. Payment must be received at the Douglas County Senior Center by Feb. 6. Call 783-6455.
