Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 55-year-old accountant from Reno was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Washoe County Jail on two Carson City warrants for failure to appear. Also arrested was a 21-year-old warehouse worker from Reno on a misdemeanor Carson City warrant for failure to appear and a 54-year-old cook from Carson City on three Carson City warrants for failure to appear.


• A 57-year-old electrician was arrested at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday in the 4700 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of failure to appear. Bail was set at $354.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Coroner call at 7:53 a.m. in the 2800 block of Highway 50 East.


• A business owner reported at 10:43 a.m. that he gave an employee permission to borrow a business vehicle, and now the employee was refusing to give the vehicle back.


• Report of a juvenile fight at Centennial Park at 8:26 p.m.


• A caller reported he was driving down Highway 50 East at 8:54 p.m. and he had to swerve to avoid hitting a pedestrian carrying a military-style backpack with a gun sticking out of it.


• Report of people smoking marijuana on a porch on Fleetwood Avenue at 11:59 p.m.


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Accident on Interstate 80 in Fernley at 1:02 a.m.


• Burglary report on Rawhide Street at 8:41 a.m. in Silver Springs.


• Misdemeanor arrest in the 3500 block of Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 9 a.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest on Overland Drive in Mason Valley at 3:59 p.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest on Flowery Avenue in Dayton at 8:24 p.m.
