Auditions at Wild Horse Children's Theater


Wild Horse Children's Theater will hold auditions for "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" today and Saturday, June 7 for actors ages 14-18 at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St.


Come prepared with a poem or monologue of one-minute or less. To schedule an audition slot, call 887-0438.




Senior center to hold jewelry sale fundraiser


Throughout the year, the Carson City Senior Citizens Center collects jewelry and periodically holds large jewelry sales as fundraisers for senior center programs. A sale will be held from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the center, 911 Beverly Drive.


Jewelry donations can be left at the main center reception desk during weekday business hours. For information, call 883-0703.


Carson Elks host Veterans Dinner


Carson City Elks Lodge will host a Veterans Dinner, 6 p.m., Saturday, 515 N. Nevada St. $7 per person. Veterans are free. For information, call 882-2177.




Carson City Republican Women to meet


The Carson City Republican Women will meet 11 a.m., June 17, at the Carson Nugget, 507 N. Carson St. Mayoral candidates Ken Haskins, Sean Lehman and Steve McClung will be guest speakers.

Dog obedience classes begin Tuesday


Guy Yeaman teaches dog obedience 6:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Fuji Park Exhibit Hall. Cost is $75 for the six-week session.


Dogs must be at least four months old and current on their shots. Each dog needs a choke chain and a fabric or leather lead. For information or to register, call 265-4530.
