Tahoe Corvette Club to meet

Health care drive this afternoon


Evergreen Mountain View Care Center will host "Brake Through Health Care Drive," 2:30-4 p.m., Monday. There will be a free Karate demonstration by black belt instructors.

Retired Public Employees picnic

Firewood permits available


The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District Office, continues to offer firewood permits for a new 50-acre public firewood cutting area in the Pine Nut Mountains approximately 12-miles southeast of Dayton. Firewood cutting permits are $10 per cord. Permits are available only at the BLM-Carson City District Office, 5665 Morgan Mill Road. For information, call 885-6000.




Douglas


Douglas libraries hours reduced


Due to budget cuts, the Douglas County Public Library will reduce hours of operation beginning today.


The Minden library's new hours are: 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday, Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday , closed Sunday.


The Zephyr Cove library's hours are: 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Wednesday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, Friday, Saturday; closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. For information, visit douglas.lib.nv.us or call 782-9841.
