Les Dudek show at BAC postponed

Originally scheduled for Saturday, rock legend Les Dudek's show at the Brewery Arts Center has been postponed until June 28 because of unforeseen circumstances.

Guitarist Les Dudek played with some of rock and pop's biggest names - Stevie Nicks, Steve Miller, Dave Mason, Cher, Boz Scaggs, and the Allman Brothers Band - in addition to issuing solo albums. His great guitar work and raw yet polished sound mesmerizes audience and has done so for over 30 years.

Les Dudek will now appear at 7:30 p.m. June 28 in the Performance Hall at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St.

Mile High Jazz, Jakki Ford in concert Tuesday

The Mile High Jazz Band and vocalist Jakki Ford will be joined by local poets for an evening of jazz and poetry on the topic of "Spring Cleaning."

The presentation is 8-10 p.m. Tuesday at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson Street. Admission is $5 general, $4 for members of the Mile High Jazz Band Association, and free for those age 18 and under. Swing dance instruction from 6-7:30 p.m. is $5 additional.

BAC Stage Kids present 'Snow White'

The BAC Stage Kids announce the production of "Snow White," a colorful adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

The show runs the next two weekends in the Donald W. Reynolds Black Box Theatre at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St.

The cast is children ages 6-10. Leading the cast and crew of more than 30 area children are Rebecca Martin, 8, and Sarah White, 8, as Snow White, and Aubrey Alotta, 9 and Emma Sperry, 9 as the Wicked Queen.

"Snow White" will run at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and March 20-21 and 2 p.m. Sunday and March 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for students, seniors and BAC members at the BAC office or on at www.breweryarts.org/bacstagekids. Call 883-1976.

Spiritual experiences to be discussed at service

The public is invited to discuss spiritual experiences at a worship service of Eckankar, the religion of the light and sound of God.

The service, "Have you had a Spiritual Experience," is at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St., and is free. The service begins at 10 a.m. March 16. During the one-hour service, a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk with readings, and small-group discussion and short contemplation after the talk.
