Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 23-year-old welding technician from Carson City was arrested at 11:03 p.m. Friday at Highway 50 and Airport Road for suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear in traffic court. Bail was set at $1,000 cash.


• A 23-year-old man who refused to give his address was arrested at Stewart and Fifth streets at 2 a.m. Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and failure to maintain a single lane. Bail was set at $2,264.


• An 18-year-old auditor of Carson City was arrested at Goldfield and Carson Meadows at 11:52 p.m. Friday for suspicion of two counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to maintain a single lane and an instruction permit violation. Bail was set at $2,478.


• A 39-year-old cabinet maker from Carson City was arrested at Goldfield and Carson Meadows at 11:58 p.m. Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor failure to pay traffic fines. Bail was set at $477.


• A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road at 8:18 p.m. Friday on suspicion of misdemeanor arrest of probationer, having no drivers license and having fictitious plates. Bail was set at $3,294.


• A 38-year-old pediatrician from Carson City was arrested at South Carson Street and Clear Creek Road at 7:41 p.m. Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. Bail was set at $1,132.


• A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3200 block of Market Street at 11:45 p.m. Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor petit larceny, resisting arrest, minor consuming and a contempt of court warrant. Bail was set at $1,441.


• Umberto Charles Garcia, 20, a firefighter for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, was arrested at Airport and Menlo roads at 12:42 a.m. Friday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a firearm with a changed or obliterated serial number, misdemeanor DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and minor consuming. Bail was set at $5,951.


• A 45-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at Plaza and Robinson streets at 9:13 p.m. Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear in court. Bail was set at $234 cash.


• A 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1000 block of Armory Lane at 8:06 p.m. Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor obstruction of a peace officer. Bail was set at $407.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Friday:


• A report of verbal and physical threats at the 600 block of Surprise Street, Yerington at 5:39 a.m.


• A report of drug sales in the 1300 block of Highway 95A in Fernley at 8:40 a.m.


• A battery report in the 3900 block of West Spruce Avenue at 9:07 a.m.


• A motor vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 50 in Mound House at 10:47 a.m.


• An assault report in the 100 block of Michaelson Drive in Fernley at 1:44 p.m.


• A missing-person report in the 200 block of Corral Drive, Dayton at 2:15 p.m.


• A dirt-bike complaint on Citrus Street in Silver Springs at 3:32 p.m.


• A report of fraudulent activity in Fernley at 4:39 p.m.


• A report of a fight in the 200 block of Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 10:21 p.m.
