Traffic is backed up on Highway 88 in Minden due to an earlier two-vehicle accident at Mackland Road, south of the roundabout. Traffic is being diverted.
Update: 7:20 a.m. " At 6:40 a.m., Care Flight 1 left the scene of a 6:25 a.m. accident, with one patient of a near head-on collision at County Line Road and Highway 88 in Minden.
Personnel reported major damage to both vehicles and called for Care Flight to the scene, which landed in 25 mph winds at Douglas High School.
Care Flight 2 arrived at 7:15 a.m. Emergency crews have extricated the second victim of the accident; Care Flight 2 left the scene at 7:20 a.m. to transport the second victim of the accident to Renown Regional Medical Center.
Emergency crews are still on the scene of the two-vehicle accident.
Drive carefully in this area as traffic will be affected for some time.
