Bertha I. Axtell, of Gardnerville, died March 18, 2008. She was born Nov. 13, 1924 in Worchester, Mass. Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
