FALLON" A Fallon mother and former high school softball coach accused of providing alcohol to minors at a party where a teenage girl was allegedly raped has entered guilty pleas.
Tami Peel, at a hearing Wednesday in Churchill County Justice Court, pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The charges stem from a Jan. 18 party at Peel's home that was for her teenage daughter, prosecutors said.
Peel, 38, also is charged with one gross misdemeanor count of child endangerment that stems from her daughter's alleged attendance at the party held about 60 miles east of Reno. That charge is still pending.
The state attorney general's office is investigating allegations that a 15-year-old intoxicated girl was gang-raped at the party by up to five boys.
Ronda Clifton, senior deputy attorney general, said a decision likely will be made in late November or early December on whether charges will be filed in the alleged rape.
The district attorney's office turned the case over to the AG's office due to conflicts of interest.
According to court filings, Peel took a group of children 14 and 15 years old to a store where she purchased Smirnoff Ice malt liquor beverages, plastic cups and ping pong balls used at her party to play "beer pong."
Juvenile witnesses told police Peel was playing beer pong with other juveniles and became drunk.
At one point, money was collected from the 20 to 30 juveniles to get more alcohol, an affidavit said. A 19-year-old man drove Peel and a juvenile to a store where they purchased three cases of beer.
