How he got involved: He is originally from Fresno, Calif., and was thinking of opening his own store, but saw the opportunity in Carson City to help.

Why he likes the store: Pizza Factory, a Western pizza chain with about 140 stores, makes the food fresh everyday, and he likes that they "put a little love" into their pizzas.

Future plans: The store opened in 2006 and Maxfield and Ingram want to expand to more locations

What he likes about Carson City: He said he likes being in a smaller town that's a little more quiet, but still close to Reno and Lake Tahoe.

How he manages the store: He said he or the owner is always there and don't just "pull in the store every other day to make a bank deposit."
