Left us March 29, 2009. Bill was born in Buffalo, Mo. June 8, 1929 to William and Alva Cowen. Long time resident of Carson City, Bill made his home in Jack's Valley. He served in the United States Air Force until May 10, 1951. Retired from the Operators Engineers Union Unit No. 3 as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Preceded in death by his only son Randy Cowen in 1992. Leaves his three daughters Ginger McBride and her husband Bill of Granite Bay, Calif., Jackie Holmes and her husband Mike of Dayton, Sandy Cowen of Carson City; brother. Ken Cowen and his wife Carol of Oakley Calif.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to Thank St. Mary's Hospice for their care through this trying time with our dad. Memorial Services are pending.
