Weather for the Carson City area today will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon with highs 63-73 and south winds up to 10 mph increasing to 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, cloudy with scattered showers; snow level 6500 feet lowering to 5000 feet. Lows 29-39 with west winds 15-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph decreasing to around 10 mph after midnight.
Wednesday, breezy and mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Snow level rising to 5000 feet; highs 44-54. West winds 10-15 mph increasing to 15-25 mph in the afternoon with gusts up to 35 mph.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:42 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
Utility work is being done on Corbett and East John streets off North Roop Street. Detours are noted for motorists.
Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.
Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House continues with posted lower speed limits and narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
