Weather for the Carson City area today will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning with scattered showers in the afternoon. Highs 46-56 with southwest winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, rain and snow likely with snow level 5000-5500 feet and accumulation up to 3 inches. Lows 30-40 with west winds 10-15 mph.

Friday, cloudy with scattered showers with snow level 5000 feet. Highs 46-56 with light winds.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:44 a.m. all roads open with no controls with the following exceptions:

Highway 395 " High wind advisory: Campers and trailers not advised for 6 miles between East Lake Boulevard and Winters Ranch in Washoe Valley.

Utility work is being done on Corbett and East John streets off North Roop Street. Detours are noted for motorists.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House continues with posted lower speed limits and narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
