Rain showers in Carson City forecast

Today's weather for the Carson City area will be cloudy with isolated showers in the morning then scattered showers in the afternoon. Snow level 6500 feet lowering to 55 feet. Highs 41-51 with south winds around 10 mph.

Tonight, cloudy with scattered showers in the evneing with isolated snow showers after midnight. Snow level 5000 feet lowering to the valley floor. Lows 23-33 with southwest winds around 10 mph.

Friday, cloudy with isolated snow showers in the morning with a chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Highs 36-46 with light winds becoming southeast up to 10 mph in the afternoon.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:33 a.m. all roads open with no controls.

Utility work is being done on Little Lane between Saliman Road south Stewart Street, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with lane restrictions on Little Lane west of South Roop Street.

Utility work is also being done on North Roop Street from East John to Long streets, and on Corbett street, west of North Roop.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. There is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures and possible delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
