Isolated showers today

Weather for the Carson City area today will have isolated showers in the morning then scattered showers in the afternoon with highs 43-53 with light winds.

Tonight, rain and snow likely in the evening then isolated showers after midnight with low level around 6500 feet. Lows 24-34 with light winds.

Thanksgiving Day, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning then partly cloudy in the afternoon with snow level around 6500 feet. Highs 44-54 with light winds becoming north around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. Fairview Drive, westbound, is now open from Saliman Road to Roop Street. However, there is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures and possible delays.

Eastbound Fairview Drive from South Carson Street to Roop Street is closed. Lane closures are in effect westbound from Industrial Parkway to Roop Street.

Road work continues on Highway 50 and includes possible delays.

Work continues also on East Fifth Street from Fairview Drive to Saliman Road.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:57 a.m. all roads in the area open with no controls.
