ATWATER, Calif. " Tyler Hutchins threw six innings of two-hit baseball and Paul Cagle III drove in four runs with a double and sacrifice fly to lead Carson High to an 8-1 win over Livingston at the 50th annual Atwater Lions Easter Baseball Tournament.
Carson advances to the pool final against Atwater tonight at 7:30. The winner advances to the chamnpionship game on Thursday and the loser will play for third place.
"Obviously Hutchins stepped up," Carson coach Cody Farnworth said. "He walked the first two then he just battled. It was nice to see the defense play well."
Matt Rutledge went 3-for-4, while Brett Valley and Kyle Stone added two hits apiece.
