A 52-year-old woman dining at Applebee's Wednesday was injured after a car struck the side of the building just outside where she was seated. According to Carson City Sheriff's Deputy Jarrod Adams, 81-year-old Patricia Murphy of Gardnerville had parked in a Carside To Go parking space on the north side of the building. Murphy thought the 2000 Toyota Echo was in park, Adams said, but it rolled up over the curb, into the rock landscaping and struck the building, bending one of the signs beneath the car. Joni Wilson, who was seated near the window where the car hit, panicked and strained an existing back injury. She was transported to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center for treatment. Damage to the exterior of the building was minimal and there were no signs of driver impairment. Murphy was uninjured and was not cited in the mishap.
