Hospice Volunteer Training, 12:30-4:30 p.m. today at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 305 N. Minnesota St.
Hospice volunteers must complete entire training program, in which they will learn how to be a resource for people facing the end of their lives. Duties include providing companionship and doing simple tasks for patients. Volunteers do not provide medical care, but are an important part of the team effort hospice offers to patients and their families. The classes are free.
