College hosts nights for Latino students

Western Nevada College is offering five Friday evening information sessions to help Latino parents and high school students learn about how to enroll and be successful in college.

"First Step to WNC" is a new program that will feature monthly sessions on campus that detail college services and showcase academic and career programs.

The information will apply to high school students preparing for college and adults seeking to improve employment skills.

Sessions will be conducted in English, but bilingual assistance will be provided in Spanish.

Sessions will meet from 6-8 p.m. in Marlette Hall in the Cedar Building, Carson City campus, 2201 West College Parkway.
