Updated road controls in Northern Nevada

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 8:05 a.m. the following updated road conditions in Northern Nevada:

Highway 50 " Snowtires or chains required for 21.1 miles between .7 miles east of the California-Nevada state line and .4 miles west of Highway 395 at south Carson City.

Chains required except for 4-wheel drive vehicles for 48.4 miles between 2.6 miles east of Placerville and 4.1 miles west of SR 89, California.

Highway 395 " High wind advisory: Campers and trailers are not advised for 6 miles through Washoe Valley, from East Lake Boulevard to Winters Ranch.

Interstate 80 " Chains required except for 4-wheel drive vehicles for 55.8 miles between Drum, Calif. and .7 miles east of the California-Nevada state line.

Snowtires or chains required for 6 miles between .7 miles east of California-Nevada state line and .4 miles west of Mogul.

SR 341 " Snowtires or chains required for 20.3 miles between .1 miles north of Highway 50 and 1.7 miles south of Highway 395, bottom of Geiger Grade.

SR 431 " Snowtires or chains required for 22.1 miles between SR 28 and 2.4 miles south of Highway 395.
