Art Barnett

Art Barnett, 69, a resident of Carson City, died Feb. 24, 2009. He was born Jan. 9, 1940 to Julius Barnett and Beatriz Lopez in Los Angeles, Calif. He is preceded in death by parents; sisters Bee and Lillian and one granddaughter. Among his survivors are his wife Judy; children Lyn of Lake Tahoe, Brian of Montana, Aaron of Carson City and Catherine of Sacramento; brother Pren Barnett of Santa Clarita, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members. A rosary will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Teresa Church followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Donations in Art's memory may be sent to St. Joseph Community Land Trust in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
