Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- A 24-year-old machine operator from Carson City was arrested Thursday at 4:44 p.m. in the 3500 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor obstruction of a police officer, expired vehicle registration and driving on a suspended registration. Bail was set at $1,206.
- A 22-year-old student from Carson City was arrested at 1:51 a.m. Friday near the Goni Road water tower on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,396.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:
- Commercial burglary report on Fairview Drive at 7:16 a.m..
- Vehicle theft report on East Robinson Street at 7:59 a.m..
- A mother reported at 1:57 p.m. that her pregnant 22-year-old daughter was "out of control."
- Report of a father coming from Georgia and taking his daughter out of her first-grade class and flying back to Georgia with her without her mother's knowledge. The father allegedly has custody of the girl. Police are investigating.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:
- Arrest at 3:39 p.m. on Main Street in Yerington.
- Report of a red 1987 Honda Prelude stolen from the 700 block of Earth Circle at 4:42 a.m.
