James Wesley Lee House, 83, of Dayton, passed away July 27, 2009, in Carson City. He was born November 9, 1925, to Jesse Lee and Alice Melinda Fenison House in Johnsville, Arkansas.
James served his country in the Navy from 1943 to 1954. He served for four years during World War II in the South Pacific. Later he served on a submarine for two years during the Korean conflict. James enjoyed fishing and gardening. He will always be remembered for being willing to lend a helping hand.
James was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Alice House, sisters Lois Garrison and Ruth Glenn. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jackie "Foxy"; sons Steve and his wife Sharon of Reno, Jim and wife Diana of Dayton; grandchildren Don, Steve, Jeff, Amanda, Angela and Shane; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. Burial will take place following the service at Dayton Cemetery.
