Man who allegedly cashed fake check wanted

A felony warrant has been issued for a convicted felon who served time for mail theft.

Carson City Sheriff's Detective Bob Motamenpour said Tuesday that Justin Laquan Cox, 36, allegedly cashed a counterfeit state of California check at the Carson Nugget on Dec. 16.

He is described as 6-feet-3, 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

His last known address was in the 200 block of Caroline Street. He is known to have family

in the Hawthorne area.

Anyone with information on Cox's whereabouts is asked to call Motamenpour at 887-2020 ext. 41406.
