A warrant has been issued for an Indian Hills woman who allegedly forged checks to herself on an account belonging to a woman she worked for as a home health care aide.

Isolina Colon, 50, is being sought on a felony warrant for elderly exploitation.

According to the police report, Colon worked for the 93-year-old Carson City woman six days a week.

In August the woman's son noticed discrepancies in his mother's checking account and upon further investigation discovered three checks made out to Colon totaling $2,300, the report states.

Upon questioning by an investigator over the phone Colon allegedly admitted she wrote the checks saying she needed to pay off her son's drug debt.

She failed to appear for an in-person interview and a warrant was later issued for her arrest.

Isolina Colon, a convicted felon out of California for embezzlement, forgery, theft and drugs, is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She is known to frequent casinos and drives a 1995 green Dodge Avenger two-door coupe, Nevada license plate 233 WTK.

Anyone with information on Colon's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Bob Motamenpour at 887-2020 ext. 41406.

As always, Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. In order to make an anonymous tip on Colon's whereabouts and become eligible for a reward call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
