Fallon sex offender pleads no contest

FALLON (AP) - A Fallon man accused of committing hundreds of sex crimes against children has changed his plea from not guilty to no contest after prosecutors agreed to dismiss some charges.

42-year-old Daniel Green pleaded Thursday to 10 counts of possession of child pornography, as well as charges of attempted lewdness with a children under the age of 14, attempted production of child pornography and using another person's identity for unlawful purposes.

He initially was charged with 265 counts of possession of child pornography, four counts of use of a minor in the production of pornography and one count of lewdness with a child under the age of 14.

Green's plea came 11 days before his trial was scheduled to start. An investigation began in November 2007 when a woman reported seeing young boys regularly visiting Green's home.
