Silver City hosting fair Saturday

Silver City will host a fair from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Silver City Park, corner of High and 2nd streets.

The fair will include live music by performers including Will and Sheree Rose, a cake walk, face painting and watermelon and lemonade.

There is no fee to enter and small fees for children's games.

The fair will also include information booths by local nonprofit community gardens and farmers markets. Teens involved in the Comstock Youth Works summer job skills program will also be selling plant terrariums to raise additional funds for the Silver City Community Garden and Compost, which is funded in part by Silver City Task Force, Healthy Communities Coalition, Community Chest and volunteer donations.
