RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says a Colorado man was killed and three other people were injured when their sport utility vehicle overturned on Interstate 80 near Battle Mountain.
The patrol says 20-year-old David Marmolejo of Greeley was behind the wheel and traveling east when the vehicle drifted off the road early Monday.
Investigators say Marmolejo overcorrected, sending the vehicle into a spin before it overturned several times and came to rest in the median.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His brother, 22-year-old Victor Marmolejo of Greeley and 21-year-old Sasha Pallares of Pueblo, Colo., were taken to a hospital with cuts and scratches.
Eighteen year old Osmara Sanchez of Greeley was taken to a hospital in Reno with more serious injuries.
