Opium Seller Caught: Deputy Sheriff Powers arrested the old chief of the opium sellers, Charley, and the officer had hard times getting him, he had to crawl through innumerable holes and byways before reaching his victim. This man has probably sold more opium to men and women than all the other den keepers combined.

There has always been a mystery why women are refused as members in Masonic lodges. Many attempts have been made to learn the origin of the refusal. It appears that Eve left her station, violating her obligations.

Preparatory steps to move the San Francisco stock exchange to Nevada included the filing of articles of incorporation with the Nevada secretary of state several days ago. Reportedly, organizers have taken an entire floor of a Reno business building for the exchange.

Nevada highway patrol superintendent Robert Stenovich was named vice president of the Nevada Peace Officers Association during the annual convention in Hawthorne. Reno juvenile officer Frank Better was named president.
