Douglas and Lyon counties are experiencing a phone outage, affecting phone and emergency lines. They are tracing it to a broken fiber optic line.
Phone lines and Internet access are affected.
According to KOLO, 911 calls from the affected areas are being re-routed through Carson City's Sheriff Department which is relaying calls via radio.
