Hoelzels to celebrate 65th anniversary

Gavin E. "Gabe" and Luella "Lu" Hoelzel of Carson City plan to quietly celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Dec. 29.

They were married in Pekin, Ill.

The Hoelzels are the parents of three daughters, Shirley Proctor of Carson City, Marsha Hoelzel of South Pekin, Ill., and Judy Gunsten of Minden. They have four grandchildren, Holly Cornelius of Overland Park, Kan., Jacalyn Smith of Woodland, Calif., Megan Gunsten of Minden, and Tim Gunsten of Reno; and two great-grandchildren, Ainsley Cornelius and Preston Smith.
