A rosary will be 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, with a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual help Catholic
Church in Bishop for Donald Patrick Glennon.
Born Sept. 18, 1929, in Queens, N.Y., Donald died at his home on Jan. 29, 2010. He was 80.
Donald was one of 11 children born to Maurice and Catherine Glennon. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps where he met his wife Mary Angela Kass in 1948. They spent the next 61 years together.
Donald entered law enforcement with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1954, retiring as a sergeant with the Kern County Sheriff's Department in 1983.
"God bless America and long live the Irish!!!" the family said. Donald is survived by his loving wife Mary; children, Donna, Patrick, JoAnn, Colleen, Michael, Rosemary, Kelly and Kitty; as well as 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
