Obituary: Erwin "Jim" Avery

Erwin "Jim" Avery, 71, died Feb. 10, 2010, in Carson City. He was born April 23, 1938, in Olympia, Wash., to Erwin and Mary Avery. He is survived by sons James W. of Olympia, Barry W. of Rochester, Wash., and Dennis Avery of Olympia; daughters, Denise D. Avery of San Francisco, Valerie Anderson of Yelm, Wash., LaDonna Putman of Yelm, Wash., and Christine Avery of Rainier, Wash.; sister Gail Stockton of Napa, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Chestnut Inn in Silver Springs. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
