Greenhouse Garden Center offers spring workshops

It's time to think about pruning and shaping your trees and shrubs.

Dick Post will once again deliver his annual pruning seminar and "hands-on" workshop at Greenhouse Garden Center in Carson City at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6. Pruning topics will range from how to prune roses, pruning fruit trees for the best fruit production, and pruning techniques for all types of trees and ornamentals.

A hands-on workshop begins at 11 a.m. with the assistance of Certified Arborist Tom Henderson.

No reservations are required and the seminar and workshop are free. Dress appropriately since this event will be held outdoors.

The free seminar, Let's Get a Jump On Spring will be at 10 a.m. March 13 at the Greenhouse Garden Center. Owner David Ruf will cover topics including how and when to fertilize, the benefits of using organics, and how to prevent weeds and bugs in your yard and garden this summer by taking measures now.

Weather permitting this seminar will be held outdoors so a jacket may be desired. Call 882-8600 for more information.
