Learning about basketweaving

Kayleigh McFarland, 7, visiting from Las Vegas, learns about different types of baskets from Cat Mena Saturday at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. Mena, who moved from Nevada City, Calif., to Silver City a year ago, was at the museum to demonstrate different basketweaving techniques. She has been selling kits and giving demonstrations at California state parks and through school systems for more than 20 years.
