Brenda Nicole Ferris and Jason Matthew Klug were married May 8 at the Lee residence in Grass Valley, Calif. The Rev. Jeff Paul of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Carson City, officiated.
Kristen Adams served as maid of honor with bridesmaids Amy Saltzer, Jessica Files, Jennifer Fowler and Kristen Swanson.
Best man was Mike Newman. Groomsmen were Paul Keckly, Eric Klug and Jack Hewitt.
Kayden Swanson served as the ring bearer.
The bride is the daughter of Sandy and Bill Ferris of Grass Valley. She is a 2004 graduate of Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley.
She attended Chapman University in Orange, Calif., where she was awarded a bachelor degree in political science in 2008. She is the director at large for Nevada County Young Republicans.
The groom is the son of Karen and Mike Klug of Carson City. He is a 2005 graduate of Carson High School.
He graduated in 2009 from the Fire Science Academy and works as a firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii.
