The summer heats up with the 2nd annual "Concert Under the Stars" July 14 behind Adele's Restaurant and Lounge in Carson City.
Proceeds benefit Carson City's Greenhouse Project.
Sons of Champlin will headline the event. Local band Southpaw Freddie will open the show. Music starts at 7:30 p.m.
The evening begins with both a silent and "Chair-ity" auction at 5:30 pm. Highlights include a one-week stay at a Hawaii vacation home, a Monterey Bay two-night getaway as well as dozens of wonderful items donated by local merchants. Plus, concert goers will want to check out the unique chairs in the "Chair-ity" auction. Designed and decorated by well-known Carson City residents, the chairs demonstrate their creators' humor and creativity.
Tickets are expected to sell out early. They cost $35 for general admission and $60 for premium seating. Tickets are available at www.breweryarts.org or by calling 775-883-1976. Tickets are also available in Carson City at Adele's Restaurant and Lounge, 1112 N. Carson St., Carson City; Great Basin Art Gallery and frames at 110 S. Curry St.; The Purple Avocado, 904 N.
