Elizabeth Anne Hannifan Creswell, 63, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Wednesday Nov. 3, 2010. Liz was born March 13, 1947, in Fallon, Nevada, daughter of the late John R. and Laurada (Jarvis) Hannifan.
Liz attended schools in Fallon, graduating from Churchill County High School in 1965. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating from the Orvis School of Nursing in 1969. Liz dedicated her life to the nursing profession for 32 years and retired as Director of Greene Hall, Greene Memorial Hospital, Xenia, in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helene Marie Creswell Fletcher.
Liz is survived by her primary caregiver, Thomas Creswell, Dayton, Ohio; by her son, Michael Creswell, grandchildren Tayler and Eric Creswell and Kiernan Fletcher, all of Xenia. Surviving siblings are sister Eileen Montgomery of Fallon, and brothers John J. Hannifan (Martha), Elizabethtown, Ky., and Kerry M. Hannifan (Jo), Sedona, Ariz. A Mass of Christian burial was held Nov. 8, 2010, at Saint Brigid Catholic Church in Xenia
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Liz's memory to the Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 3797 Summit Glen Dr. G1000, Dayton, Ohio 45449 or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
A celebration of Liz's life will be held in Fallon at a later date.
