Send this pack of RINOs packing Nov. 2

A few weeks ago, I sent an e-mail to the Nevada Republican Central Committee requesting information as to any action taken against six Nevada Republican legislators who had voted for a tax increase attached to our vehicle registrations. These six RINOs, Republican In Name Only, voted with all of the Democrats to increase a tax on older vehicles from a maximum of 5 percent to a maximum of 15 percent.

I never received a reply. This leads me to believe that there was no action taken, and that there would be no action taken in the future against RINOs who violate the stated and written principles of the Republican Party. RINOs like these six are part of the reason we are in the sorry state we find ourselves in today.

As a Republican, I cannot and will not support any of these sitting Republicans - Hardy, Nolan, Raggio, Rhoads, Townsend and Carpenter. If these RINOs receive funds from the state committee, the state committee will not receive any funds from me. We need to let these politicos know that if they violate the trust we have given them, then they have lost our support.

It doesn't matter what party you are in. If they violate their principles or don't have any, kick them out of office and elect someone who speaks and acts for you.

Senator highlights how out of touch Democrats are

John Kerry's remarks about the people not paying attention were correct - maybe 20 or 10 or even two years ago. Now he's the one, along with many other members of Congress, not paying attention. The citizens of this country, as evidenced by the Tea Party movement and the resurgence of conservative grass roots efforts, are more aware and focused on the political scene than ever before.

I don't know what Kerry hoped to accomplish from his remarks, but they just serve to illustrate the Democratic party's arrogant stance: that the citizens, including the Democrats' own constituents, aren't smart enough, intelligent enough or informed enough to make their own decisions.

It's definitely time to make some major changes to Congress.

Columnist shows his socialist, elitist leanings

As a conservative, I am constantly amazed by Dr. Paslov, an educator, and his naive world view. If his view is consistent in Nevada education, that could explain our current 14 percent-plus unemployment problem.

He is a socialist because he sees private corporate profit as public property. Dr. Paslov thinks that the risk, hard work and genius which produced those profits belong to the state. Isn't that socialism?

He is an elitist because he sees the conservative mind as inferior to his own. The conservative mind needs to conceptualize one thing. That is the fact that tax policy is a game played by politicians and public servants for those profits - taxes - since without them, these professions would cease to exist. They do not produce profits. In our tangible world, wealth is created by making things, not by taxing them.

Dr. Paslov seems to think that business is immoral since it seeks an edge in tax policy. Perhaps it is the public servants and politicians who are immoral, because it is they who are for sale through lobbyists, a practice completely under their control. How else could one explain the fact that our own senior senator went to Congress a working man and will leave wealthy, without ever making a profit.

The problem with being a socialist is that you are forced to work against our current system of business. The problem with elitist thinking is that you can't learn since you know it all.
