Author Day Williams will sign copies of his new book, "We the People," at the Borders bookstore from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Borders bookstore is at 911 Topsy Lane in north Douglas County.

"'We the People' is an American book. With hundreds of presidential quotations and many American milestone documents, it belongs on every American's bookshelf," said Williams in a press release.

"The inspiring and thought-provoking quotations are from George Washington to Barack Obama. The milestone documents span 367 years of American history from the Mayflower Compact in 1620 to President Ronald Reagan's 'Tear Down This Wall' speech in Berlin in 1987. This is a fundamental compendium of American law and lore, principles and practice," he said.
