The Appeal has been given a copy of the theological publication, Church Advocate, which is to be found a flaming advertisement of Wichelman's Ground Snow Flake Corn. Accompanying the "ad" is a picture of an angel floating above a crowd of mortals and showering Wichelman's corn upon the multitude. The editor must have a queer idea of the duties of an angel.

Mexico wants $400 for Thompson, alias Racervich, indicted here for the murder of a messenger boy in the Mohawk a year ago. The youth died leaving a post mortem statement incriminating Thompson. There were several witnesses. Sheriff Ferrel says he will wait in El Paso or Juarez until Racervich is discharged.

The Fredericksburg School was threatened by fire yesterday when a blaze covering a full 200 acres came near the structure before it was brought under control at
8 p.m. through the combined efforts of more than 100 Carson Valley volunteers, the Carson Valley fire department and forest service forces worked the blaze.
