The Black List: Yesterday an Appeal reporter dropped in to a local store to see if a black list had indeed been passed to Pal & Co. The owner said he did and had not regretted doing so as it is a protection of business against non-paying customers. The reporter looked at the list and saw the names of about 100 Carson citizens of Carson. "Not a name is on the list that hasn't been presented a bill at least a dozen times," said the shop owner.

Last evening the Democratic club entertained the voters with a smoker and one of the most enthusiastic meetings held in the present political campaign. From all parts of the country followers of the democracy gathered to listen to speeches made by local candidates. The meeting was undoubtedly the most successful ever held by local candidates in the history of this county.

Seen, Heard, or Thought by E.T.C.: The sports column of the Fallon Eagle's issue last week closed with the paragraph: "Holding the 'Indian sign' over Carson, because the Senators have failed to score a single point against Fallon since the two schools resumed football activitiesfive years ago, the Green Wave is looking forward to their first conference win of the year."

Carson Furniture corporate stock has been sold by Jack Bartlett, Mel C and Ralph Dofflemeyer to Anton and James Y.. Robertson. The younger Robertson will assume active management of the store Jan. 1.
