Paul was born in Champaign, Ill., the middle child of eight siblings. He was an "Army Brat" and moved a lot until he and his family came to San Francisco where he met his beloved Jackie who predeceased him in 2006. Paul served in WWII in China as a translator with the rank of Captain.
After the war, Paul became a CPA and had a successful practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jackie and Paul moved to Carson City in 2000.
Paul was active in both the Carson City and San Mateo, CA Elks Lodges. He and Jackie LOVED to cruise.
He is survived by his sons, John (Linda) of Carson City and Scott of San Francisco; granddaughter, Lisa Foley and four great-grandchildren of San Mateo; his oldest sister, Jane Dellinger of Monterey, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews and Stanley the Cat.
A crypt-side service and entombment will be Friday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. at Skylawn Park in San Mateo. No further services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elks National Foundation. Fitzhenry's Funeral Home is trusted with arrangements.
