Commissioners meet Thursday to hear financial report

The first County Commission meeting of December will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible actions include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding update on the completed technology action plan for Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation on the comprehensive annual financial report for the year ended June 30, 2013.

Consideration and possible action regarding award bid for 2013 CDBG ADA improvement project.

Consideration and possible action regarding Darrin and Misty Alegre and an application for a sending site and transfer of development rights calculation for property located at the northwest corner of Drumm Lane and Testolin Road, off Rogers Road, assessor’s parcel number 006671-60, consisting of 53.93 acres with 44.9 acres of water righted property in the A-5 land use district.

Consideration and possible action regarding Community Development Block Grant application presentations for FY2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding acceptance of proposal from Social Entrepreneurs, Inc. to provide community action training and capacity building activities.

Consideration and possible action regarding Churchill County Road Department salary survey results and revised job descriptions.

Discussion regarding Steve Johnson’s advanced placement class presentation on Yucca Mountain community survey results.

New business

Consideration and possible action regarding Request to transfer funds to the City of Fallon for first and final payment for the South Taylor Street Island removal project and partial payment for the Convention Center Drive project and request to transfer funds to the Churchill County Road Department and Equipment Replacement Plan for first and final payment on the Candee Lane asphalt overlay project and the Bottom Road asphalt overlay project.

Consideration and possible action regarding adoption of a Furlough Policy.

Consideration and possible action regarding adoption of a hiring delay and attrition policy as FY14 budget mitigation measures.

Consideration and possible action regarding amendments to Churchill County’s section 125 Pre-Tax flexible benefits plan:

1. Adopt an amended plan document;

2. Allow a $500 carryover for the Health Flex Spending Account (Health FSA);

3. Allow enrollment in the Health Care Exchange to be an event allowing an employee to modify a Pre-Tax election for premiums for accident and health coverage.
