Commissioners to hold meeting

The first County Commission meeting of February will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill 20 15-A, Ordinance 115, an ordinance related to the duties of the Churchill County Public Administrator.

Consideration and possible action regarding update on Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA) activities and on the Community Development Block Grant.

Consideration and possible action regarding termination of contract for public guardianship and appointment of new guardian.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of Human Services Specialist position, job description, salary range, and authorization to hire.

Consideration and possible action regarding the Stillwater Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) requests notification of desire to remain on the mailing list for grazing related issues.

Consideration and possible action regarding the Winnemucca District Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) requests notification of desire to remain on the mailing list for grazing related issues.

Consideration and possible action regarding notice of availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Military Readiness Activities at U.S. Navy Fallon Range Training Complex.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of the Conservation Easement and Purchase Agreement Proposal for Flint Lee.

Consideration and possible action regarding budget transfer 01-FY 15.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of Churchill County’s Corrective Action Plan for the FYE 6-30-14 Comprehensive Annual Financial Statements by the Department of Taxation.

Consideration and possible action regarding request transfer of funds to the city of Fallon as partial payment for the Whitaker Lane Traffic Signal Retrofit project and transfer of funds to the Churchill County Road Department for first and final payment on the various FY 2015 road and bridge projects.

Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution 03-2015 declaring a 1992 Ford Explorer, 2007 Expedition, and 2008 Ford Expedition as surplus equipment and donating said vehicles to Churchill County School District.
