Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, also known as TOCCATA, kicks off its ninth annual Winter MusicFest concert series Jan. 4, 5, 7 and 10.

Among the works featured are creations by Vivaldi, Handel and J.S. Bach. Maestro James Rawie will conduct call performances.

Those performances are set for 7 p.m. Saturday in St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Incline Village; 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in South Lake Tahoe; 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church just south of Carson City; and Jan. 10 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Reno.

Tickets are available at the door, at www.ToccataTahoe.com or at Tahoe City Visitor Center. General admission is $25 for adults and $20 for seniors. Preferred seating is $35, or $15 for youth/students. Those younger than 19 are admitted free for non-reserved seating at most regular-season concerts in 2014. The Kling Foundation supports all performances.

The ninth TOCCATA WinterFest season will continue Feb. 8-14 with other musical fare.
