Long time Fallon resident, James L. Streck, passed away at Renown Medical center with his family by his side on October 28, 2014. Jim was born October 2, 1940 to James and Gladys Streck. Soon after graduating from high school, he joined the US Navy. He served 4 years before returning to civilian life. The Streck family lived in Enid, Oklahoma, where Jim worked for Champlin Oil Refinery, and in his spare time, he with is wife owned and operated “That Extra Touch” Bakery. The family moved to Fallon 27 years ago. Jim worked at Fallon Naval Air station as an aircraft mechanic, and again with his wife opened “Sweet Sensations” Bakery in Fallon and Carson City. Jim was a family man, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, they were what he lived for, they were his whole life. He was a member of Parkside Bible Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mick and sister in-law, Sharon Streck. Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue Streck; son, Todd Streck; daughter and son in-law, Amber and Ryan Sutton; brother, Danny; sisters; Sherry; Debbie; Janice; 9 grandchildren. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Parkside Bible Fellowship 11:00 A M at 485 Tedford Lane Fallon, NV. Interment will follow service at The Gardens Cemetery. Donations may be made in Jim’s memory to Parkside Bible Fellowship toward the Missionary Fund.
